Lighting A Product Without Materialistic Influence~ David Lake.

With my commercial work, I was personally focusing more on the materialistic features and branding of the products rather than considering how the light was falling on the product itself. Resulting in my work being flat and not up to commercial standard therefore I participated in a task where the product is painted, meaning no label or branding is seen.

Removing the influence of the label and materialistic nature to the product allowed the concentration to be solely on the products shape and how the lighting affects this. It is important to make the product look like a 3D shape as this allows the image to not seem flat.

The use of diffusers, poly boards and reflectors were used in order to create soft highlights on the image.
