Tips For An At Home Shoot.
When considering a shoot at home, it is important to distinguish whether the subject is being lit with a natural light source, for example a window or from a bulb. Obviously this is what you always have to consider but more so at home especially if you have little to no kit to supply light. If you have no kit, reflectors and white surfaces will be important to try and get the professional lighting.
For my shoot at home, I used a simplistic lighting with a simple bulb and umbrella (this is a temporary lighting until I get more). For the background I hung up some white material, as this was not that important as the background would only be seen minimal amounts.
The intent for this shoot was to create a still life aesthetic to a product/model shoot and will potentially feature in my personal work named Fixation, the results came out quite effective however not as effective if I had more efficient lights or produced these images in a studio setting. Below are the results of this shoot:
With a better camera and lights this would have been a stronger image however, it was interesting to see what I could produce with the lights and equipment I had at home.
